Job summary

Republic Services in Kentucky seeks a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, HVAC, suspension, drive train, and steering. You will work on a single fleet to support drivers on their routes, with opportunities for training in new technologies.

You must diagnose multi-system issues, perform preventative maintenance, and engage in line welding and road service as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a technician position with gasoline and diesel equipment.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose multi-system issues with technical proficiency.
• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on heavy and light duty trucks.
• Repair chassis components, refuse bodies, and hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Provide road service when necessary to keep equipment operational.
