Job summary

PLK Communities is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of our residential communities in Ohio. You will perform property maintenance, prepare apartments for new residents, and complete work orders to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.

The role requires basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC knowledge (training available for HVAC), and the ability to respond to afterhours emergencies during on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Maintenance or handyman experience required.
• Apartment/multi-family maintenance experience a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Able to respond to afterhours emergency calls on on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform property maintenance needs across the community.
• Prepare apartments for new residents.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC service as needed.
• Maintain property grounds and common areas.
• Assist with trash removal and safe disposal of waste.

Currently, we are in search of a skilled full-time Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Maintenance Technician is to assist in maintaining the physical integrity of the community for the benefit of all residents, visitors, and staff:

• Perform any and all property maintenance needs
• Prepare apartments for new residents
• Completes work orders
• Basic Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Electrical Systems
• Mechanical Systems
• Small Appliance Repair
• Maintenance of the property grounds and common areas
• HVAC service and repair (willing to train)
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash
