Job summary

PLK Communities is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support our residential communities in Ohio. The role focuses on routine property maintenance, apartment readiness, and timely work order completion to ensure a safe, comfortable living environment for residents and staff.

Candidates should have handyman experience, a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation. On-call availability for after-hours emergencies is required; we provide consistent opportunities for growth and

Qualifications

• Maintenance or handyman experience required.
• Apartment/multi-family maintenance experience a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Tap into a full set of basic tools as listed in the duties.
• Able to respond to afterhours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform property maintenance needs across the community.
• Prepare apartments for new residents.
• Complete work orders in a timely fashion.
• Execute basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical and small appliance repairs.
• Maintain property grounds and common areas.
• Assist HVAC service and repair as needed (training offered).
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash.

Currently, we are in search of a skilled full-time Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Maintenance Technician is to assist in maintaining the physical integrity of the community for the benefit of all residents, visitors, and staff:

• Perform any and all property maintenance needs
• Prepare apartments for new residents
• Completes work orders
• Basic Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Electrical Systems
• Mechanical Systems
• Small Appliance Repair
• Maintenance of the property grounds and common areas
• HVAC service and repair (willing to train)
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash
