Job summary

PLK Communities is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support residential apartment communities. The role involves performing property maintenance, prepping units for new residents, and completing work orders to uphold safety and quality across the property.

Responsibilities include carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and general repairs. HVAC may be trained, with emphasis on efficient, safe maintenance and prompt after-hours response.

Qualifications

• Maintenance or handyman experience required.
• Apartment/multi-family maintenance experience a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Respond to afterhours emergency calls as part of on-call rotation.

PLK Communities is an owner and manager of residential apartment communities. Currently, we are in search of a skilled full-time Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities And Duties

The Maintenance Technician is to assist in maintaining the physical integrity of the community for the benefit of all residents, visitors, and staff:

• Perform any and all property maintenance needs
• Prepare apartments for new residents
• Completes work orders
• Basic Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Electrical Systems
• Mechanical Systems
• Small Appliance Repair
• Maintenance of the property grounds and common areas
• HVAC service and repair (willing to train)
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash
