Job summary

PLK Communities, a manager of residential apartment communities, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support our property in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role involves hands-on maintenance across the community, preparing apartments for new residents, and completing work orders.

The candidate should have maintenance or handyman experience, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• Maintenance or handheld repair experience is required or preferred.
• Apartment/multi-family maintenance experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Respond to afterhours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform property maintenance tasks across the community.
• Prepare apartments for new residents.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks.
• Handle small appliance repair and grounds maintenance.
• Provide HVAC service and repair if trained.
• Ensure proper trash removal and disposal.
• Assist with common area upkeep and safety.
• Support maintenance during emergencies as needed.

Currently, we are in search of a skilled full-time Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities And Duties

The Maintenance Technician is to assist in maintaining the physical integrity of the community for the benefit of all residents, visitors, and staff:

• Perform any and all property maintenance needs
• Prepare apartments for new residents
• Completes work orders
• Basic Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Electrical Systems
• Mechanical Systems
• Small Appliance Repair
• Maintenance of the property grounds and common areas
• HVAC service and repair (willing to train)
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash
