Job summary

Steadfast Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Summerville, SC to perform routine property maintenance and ensure safety compliance. You will inspect the property, handle work orders, and coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor on preventive maintenance and resident requests.

The role requires strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to respond to emergencies and work after hours when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing or electrical.
• Ability to read MSDS sheets for chemical safety.
• Valid local driver’s license with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 100% OSHA compliance with guidelines.
• Inspect the property regularly and report hazards and repairs.
• Complete maintenance service requests from residents and follow up.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to schedule preventive maintenance and resident service requests.
• Follow the community preventive maintenance program regularly.
• Communicate needs for supplies and materials to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Report property issues and liabilities with recommendations to management.
• Handle emergencies following Steadfast policies and procedures.
• Assist with special projects and administrative tasks as directed.
• Stay available for after-hours emergency calls.
