Job summary

The Lawton Standard Co. in Minster, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 3rd shift to support the foundry's equipment reliability and uptime.

You will perform preventative maintenance on a variety of machines, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and execute long-term projects that improve processes. We offer a competitive wage range of $26.00–$35.00+ per hour, plus a $2.00/hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts, with day one holiday pay and PTO after 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Technical certificate preferred.
• At least three years of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to communicate with all departments and outside vendors/contractors.
• High voltage electrical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment within the foundry.
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise and complete long-term projects.
• Maintain and repair electrical infrastructure using drawings/blueprints.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Assist Facilities Manager/ Maintenance Supervisor to maximize equipment runtime.

What are the hours and pay?

• 3rd Shift -10:00 PM – 6:30AM -Monday – Thursday and 8:00PM - 4:30AM on Sunday (plus overtime as needed)
• Regular Pay $26.00 - $35.00+/ hour- pay is based on experience.
• $2.00/hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift!

What is the job?

• You will be completing preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment within the Foundry.
• You will troubleshoot problems as they arise throughout the workday and complete long-term projects throughout the organization.
• You will maintain and repair existing electrical infrastructure using drawings and blueprints.
• You will participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Operate in response to requests from the Facilities Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor and set priorities as required to maximize equipment runtime.
• In this position, you will troubleshoot and ensure machine uptime on overhead cranes, sand mixers, conveyors and other foundry equipment.

What do you bring to the job?

• A high school diploma and technical certificate are preferred
• Minimum of three years of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and overall machine troubleshooting experience.
• You must be able to work well and communicate with all functional departments within the company and outside vendors/contractors.
• You must have strong understanding of preventative maintenance procedures and associated documentation.
• You must be able to work as a team player with limited direction and guidance and have a well-developed sense of urgency.
• We are looking for Maintenance Technicians with High Voltage Electrical experience as well
