Job summary

CA Lawton in Minster, Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to help keep our foundry equipment running at peak performance.

We offer a competitive wage of $26.00-$35.00+ per hour, plus a $2.00/hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Candidates should have a minimum of three years’ mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and general troubleshooting experience and be able to read blueprints. On-the-job training and a clear path for growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Three years of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with plant equipment and preventative maintenance processes.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints to diagnose issues quickly.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of foundry equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems as they occur and complete long-term projects.
• Maintain and repair electrical infrastructure using drawings and blueprints.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Respond to requests from Facilities Manager and set priorities to maximize runtime.
• Troubleshoot and ensure machine uptime on overhead cranes, sand mixers, conveyors, and other equipment.

What are the hours and pay?

• 3rd Shift -10:00 PM - 6:30 AM - Monday to Thursday and 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM on Sunday (plus overtime as needed)
• Regular Pay $26.00 - $35.00+/ hour - pay is based on experience.
• $2.00/hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift!

What is the job?

• You will be completing preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment within the Foundry.
• You will troubleshoot problems as they arise throughout the workday and complete long-term projects throughout the organization.
• You will maintain and repair existing electrical infrastructure using drawings and blueprints.
• You will participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Operate in response to requests from the Facilities Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor and set priorities as required to maximize equipment runtime.
• In this position, you will troubleshoot and ensure machine uptime on overhead cranes, sand mixers, conveyors and other foundry equipment.

What do you bring to the job?

• A high school diploma and technical certificate are preferred.
• Minimum of three years of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and overall machine troubleshooting experience.
• You must be able to work well and communicate with all functional departments within the company and outside vendors/contractors.
• You must have strong understanding of preventative maintenance procedures and associated documentation.
• You must be able to work as a team player with limited direction and guidance and have a well-developed sense of urgency.
• We are looking for Maintenance Technicians with High Voltage Electrical experience as well.
