Job summary

CA Lawton in Minster, Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd Shift to support a growing foundry team. Regular pay ranges from $26.00 to $35.00+ per hour, with a $2.00/hour shift differential based on experience.

Expect steady work, on-the-job training, and strong emphasis on reliability and improvement. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical infrastructure with blueprints, plus participation in continuous improvement and cross-department

Qualifications

• High school diploma and technical certificate preferred.
• Min. three years mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Ability to work with all departments and vendors.
• Understand preventative maintenance procedures and docs.
• Team player with sense of urgency; high voltage experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on foundry equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and complete long-term improvement projects.
• Maintain and repair electrical infrastructure using drawings/blueprints.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond to Facilities Manager requests and prioritize to maximize uptime.
• Troubleshoot overhead cranes, sand mixers, conveyors and other foundry gear.

What are the hours and pay?

• 2nd Shift- 3:00 PM- 11:30 PM - Monday-Friday (plus overtime as needed)
• Regular Pay $26.00 - $35.00+/ hour- pay is based on experience.
• $2.00/hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift!

What is the job?

• You will be completing preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment within the Foundry.
• You will troubleshoot problems as they arise throughout the workday and complete long‑term projects throughout the organization.
• You will maintain and repair existing electrical infrastructure using drawings and blueprints.
• You will participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Operate in response to requests from the Facilities Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor and set priorities as required to maximize equipment runtime.
• In this position, you will troubleshoot and ensure machine uptime on overhead cranes, sand mixers, conveyors and other foundry equipment.

• A high school diploma and technical certificate are preferred
• Minimum of three years of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and overall machine troubleshooting experience.
• You must be able to work well and communicate with all functional departments within the company and outside vendors/contractors.
• You must have strong understanding of preventative maintenance procedures and associated documentation.
• You must be able to work as a team player with limited direction and guidance and have a well‑developed sense of urgency.
• We are looking for Maintenance Technicians with High Voltage Electrical experience as well
