Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Ballinger, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, operate, maintain, service and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and structural systems. You will monitor machine performance, perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot issues to keep production within spec.

This 1st shift role runs Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with overtime on weekends as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or recognized equivalent is required.
Trade certifications for electrical, mechanical systems preferred, but not required.
Minimum of 1–3 years related maintenance experience or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to resolve unexpected events and situations.
Experience with electrical, mechanical and structural systems.

Responsibilities

Understand and follow safety rules for hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Install and repair electrical equipment including generators, transformers, and motors.
Use welding equipment for layout and fabrication; use testing equipment for diagnostics.
Diagnose and correct electrical system issues; perform preventive maintenance.
Perform routine and major repairs on buildings; notify management of major needs.
Provide on-the-job guidance to new maintenance staff; contribute to continuous improvements.
