Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to install, operate, maintain, modify, service and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and structural systems at our Houston site. The role requires reading blueprints and following safety rules.

First shift is 6:00AM - 2:30PM with varying hours. Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years of related maintenance experience; physical stamina to stand, lift 30 lbs, and work near moving

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or recognized equivalent.
• Minimum of 1–3 years related maintenance experience.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Standing, walking, lifting 30 lbs. or more, pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, near acuity.

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs electrical equipment including generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers and motors.
• Maintains and repairs mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and structural systems.
• Diagnoses and corrects equipment faults; follows preventive maintenance and safety rules.
• Provides on-the-job direction and supports continuous improvement in the work area.
• Assists in repairs to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment as needed.
