Job summary

LR Management Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Michigan properties. The role involves preventative and reactive maintenance, repairs, and renovations to apartments and common areas.

You will interact with residents, coordinate with the property team, and contribute to safety and property upkeep. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience.
• A valid driver's license.
• Applicants must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends and the ability to be on-call.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in.
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments.
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks.
• Conducting move in/move out inspections.
• Maintaining inventory levels for required parts.
• Keeping the service shop clean and organized.
• Maintaining property grounds and building exteriors including trash and snow removal.
• Adhering to policies related to fair housing.

LR Management is looking for a dependable and hard-working individual with previous apartment maintenance experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be a team player, have a positive attitude along with being self-motivated and self-directed.

Our maintenance staff are key members of our property team who interact with our residents as they carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance which includes HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in

• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks

• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property's indoor common areas
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including, but not limited, to trash pickup and snow removal
