Job summary

LR Management is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician in Michigan to join a growing team. You will perform general repairs and preventative maintenance across apartment communities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. On-call and weekend work will be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility to work weekends and be on-call.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in.
• Repair and improve vacant and occupied apartments.
• Complete resident service requests promptly.
• Carry out carpentry, plumbing and painting tasks.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks.
• Perform move in/move out inspections.
• Maintain inventory levels for parts.
• Keep the service shop clean and organized.
• Support maintenance of indoor common areas and grounds.

Our maintenance staff are key members of our property team who interact with our residents as they carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance which includes HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner
• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks
• Conducting move in/move out inspections
• Ensuring an adequate inventory level for required parts
• Ensuring service shop is clean and organized
• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property’s indoor common areas
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including, but not limited, to trash pickup and snow removal
• Adhering to established policies related to fair housing
