Job summary

LR Management Services is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our Michigan team. You will perform general repairs and preventative maintenance on apartments, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry, while delivering excellent resident service.

The role requires 1–3 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. You should be flexible for weekends and on-call shifts, with a high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain apartments prior to new residents moving in
• Repair and improve vacant and occupied apartments
• Complete resident service requests promptly
• Perform carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks
• Perform move in/move out inspections
• Maintain inventory levels for parts
• Keep service shop clean and organized
• Assist in maintenance and cleanliness of indoor common areas
• Maintain well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including trash pickup and snow removal
• Adhere to fair housing policies

Our maintenance staff are key members of our property team who interact with our residents as they carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance which includes HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner
• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks
• Conducting move in/move out inspections
• Ensuring an adequate inventory level for required parts
• Ensuring service shop is clean and organized
• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property's indoor common areas
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including, but not limited, to trash pickup and snow removal
