Job summary

LR Management is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our Michigan team. The role covers general repairs and preventative maintenance across apartment communities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry.

The maintenance staff interact with residents while performing tasks, ensuring timely service and upholding standards of property care. A valid driver’s license and 1–3 years of experience are required, with weekend/on-call availability.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience.
• A valid driver's license.
• Must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in.
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments.
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks.
• Conducting move in/move out inspections.
• Ensuring an adequate inventory level for required parts.
• Ensuring service shop is clean and organized.
• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property's indoor common areas.
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including, but not limited, to trash pickup and snow removal.
• Adhering to established policies related to fair housing.
