Job summary

Flaherty & Collins Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician at The Carlyle at Chatham Hills in Westfield, IN. This full-time role offers a $25.00 hourly wage and includes on-call rotation and weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities include routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, addressing resident requests, conducting inspections, and assisting with turnovers.

Qualifications

• HVAC/EPA certification and experience preferred.
• Hands-on maintenance experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general repairs.

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other systems as needed.
• Address resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections and address maintenance needs proactively.
• Assist with apartment turnovers and participate in on-call rotation; weekends as needed.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all property systems and equipment are in excellent working condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.
• Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.
• Ensure the property meets safety standards and complies with applicable regulations.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with apartment turnovers, ensuring units are move-in ready for new residents.
• Perform snow and ice removal.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies. Weekend work is required as needed.
• Physical tasks are required, along with other duties as assigned.

• HVAC/EPA certification and experience are highly preferred
