Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Watertown, WI facility. The role focuses on keeping production equipment and facilities operating at peak performance with safety prioritized alongside uptime.

Responsibilities include identifying and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues on high-speed production equipment, aligning machinery, setting up timing for cams/gears, maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and fabricating parts using welding and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–4 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex equipment.
• Experience with conveyors, motors, mills and lathes; electrical familiarity helpful.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on high-speed production equipment.
• Align machinery using precision tools (micrometers, hoists, jacks, hand tools).
• Set up timing for cams, gears, backlash, and bushings.
• Inspect and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, valves, cylinders and pumps.
• Weld and fabricate using TIG, stick and torch to repair equipment and components.
• Operate manual milling machines, drill presses and brake presses to fabricate parts.

Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on high speed production equipment.

• Understand power transmission, gear ratios, backlash adjustments, precision measurement and fluid power dynamics.
• Interpret mechanical schematics, engineering blueprints, OEM manuals and work orders.
