Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our metal finishing operations in Sidney, Ohio. In this hands-on role you’ll ensure machinery, equipment, and facilities operate at peak performance to keep production moving.

We welcome both entry-level technicians seeking growth and experienced pros ready to lead facility startups. Working hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools.
• Responding to breakdowns to restore functionality and minimize downtime.
• Performing routine preventative maintenance on machinery to extend longevity.
• Completing minor building repairs including painting, plumbing and carpentry.
• Assisting with installation and startup of equipment at new facilities (Senior Level).
• Maintaining a clean, safe work area and following all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting: Identify and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools.
• Equipment Repair: Respond promptly to breakdowns to restore functionality and minimize downtime.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine checks and services on machinery to ensure longevity.

• Special Projects (Senior Level): Assist with the installation and startup of equipment at new facilities.
