Job summary

Littfin Lumber Company in Minnesota is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to repair and maintain machinery and production equipment. You will follow preventive maintenance programs, record results in CMMS, troubleshoot faults, and ensure safety around all equipment.

The role requires mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic know-how, with welding and metal fabrication experience preferred. Collaboration with plant operations is essential, and a 5+ year maintenance background is

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field requested; 5+ years manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
• 3 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing required.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Welding and metal fabrication experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment, engines, motors and tools.
• Follow preventive maintenance programs and document results in CMMS.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and replace defective parts; assess need for equipment replacement.
• Ensure safety procedures around machinery and building systems are followed.
• Support installation of new equipment and removal of old equipment.
• Utilize database interfaces and industrial control software.
• Collaborate with operations to identify maintenance needs and report to management.
• Maintain traffic areas free of snow and debris; participate in work teams.

Job description

• Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, tools and production machines and equipment.
• Ensures preventive maintenance programs are followed on all pieces of equipment. Recording work results and parts usage in computerized maintenance management system.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions and replaces defective parts; may recommend equipment replacement if determines sufficient wear may cause safety or reliability problems.
• Observes and ensures all safety procedures while working around machinery and equipment.
• Provide support for the installation of new manufacturing and office equipment or the removal of old equipment.
• Utilize database user interface, query and industrial control software.
• Complete tasks relating to the maintenance and service of all building systems.
• Collaborate with plant operations to identify and prioritize maintenance needs and provide necessary reporting on equipment and building systems maintenance to management.
• Maintain all traffic areas from snow and any other debris.
• Be an active participant on work teams.

Qualifications:

• Education/Experience: Associate’s degree in technical field (Mechanics preferred) or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred.
• 3 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems skills required. Welding and metal fabrication skills preferred.
• Must be self-directed, ability to multi-task, effective problem solving, troubleshooting skills, and excellent verbal and written communication required.

Shift Schedule:

Monday - Thursday: 5:00am-3pm. Overtime as required on Friday: 5:00am-3:00pm

Salary Range:

$30.00/hour - $34.00/hour
