Advantage xPO is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain commercial and industrial facility equipment in Phoenix, AZ. If you're a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a commitment to safety and quality, we encourage you to apply.

Compensation and Schedule

• Pay Rate: $25 - $27 per hour


• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Role Overview

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of facility equipment through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and efficient repairs. Your communication skills and dedication to customer satisfaction will be key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Abide by all safety guidelines, including OSHA regulations and lock-out/tag-out procedures.


• Conduct regular checks of systems and equipment to identify issues and document performance.


• Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on equipment, seeking guidance from experienced technicians as needed.


• Document work results in the CMMS, analyze findings and recommend updates to the PM list.


• Communicate effectively with coworkers and customer staff, ensuring all aspects of work requests are understood.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required; preference is given to candidates with trade or business school training.


• Some experience using hand tools and performing physical labor involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry concepts is preferred.


• Must possess a valid driver's license.


• Ability to interpret instructions and communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.

Competencies

• Ability to use hand and small power tools


• Able to disassemble/reassemble basic fixtures and equipment


• Able to demonstrate basic plumbing and carpentry skills


• Ability to perform basic mechanical repairs to buildings and equipment


• Able to operate a personal computer, cell phone, and/or electronic tablet


• Able to function with dynamic priorities, adapting to changing customer expectations, and completing work requests efficiently with high-quality standards

Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand for extended intervals with occasional scheduled breaks, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; Frequently required to climb stairs and ladders; Regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds at higher than chest level; Ability to tolerate adverse rooftop working conditions due to climate and tolerate extreme temperature changes.
