Job Description

This is a remote position with travel up to 90% of the time. Ideal candidate should live close to a US airport. Our airport team works a variety of alternate shifts including nights and weekends.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Our base salary is part of a comprehensive total compensation package, determined within a specified range. The starting base salary range for this position is $46,480 - $69,025, based on experience, skill set, education, performance, licenses/certifications, business needs, and other legal factors.

POSITION SUMMARY

This role primarily supports SICK Services and Products throughout North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide excellent customer service by managing expectations effectively.
2. Support various Services Organization programs.
3. Build support structures and install SICK equipment, requiring hand tools and basic construction knowledge.
4. Make electrical connections of SICK equipment.
5. Configure SICK products using laptops and configuration software.
6. Perform onsite commissioning of installed equipment per established criteria.
7. Support startup, monitor operation, and adjust equipment as needed.
8. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and replace SICK equipment properly.
9. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
10. Prepare accurate service reports, timecards, and travel expenses.
11. Attend required training sessions.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

• Two-year college degree, technical school, or equivalent work experience required. A four-year degree is preferred.
• 0–3 years of field service experience.

Other Qualifications

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 85%.
• Availability for alternative schedules including weekends, nights, and on-call hours.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.

POSITION SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Complete logistics automation product boot camp training.
• Complete all assigned SICK training (LMS, SIA-Online, on-the-job).
• Install and commission scanners and systems as specified, including fixed depth of field scanners, auto-focus scanners, and CDM module systems.
• Basic knowledge of SOPAS and CLV setup software; ability to write simple evaluation conditions.
• Ability to read CAD designs, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Complete administrative tasks such as expense reports and daily reports.
• Assemble scanner systems.
• Work effectively with senior technicians in a team environment.
