Job summary

Flaherty & Collins Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Lodge of Overland Park in Overland Park, KS. The role covers routine and preventive maintenance, HVAC repair, plumbing, electrical, and proactive resident service to keep common areas and units in top condition.

You’ll work with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize work orders, maintain safety standards, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC/EPA certifications or similar credentials are a plus, along with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Hands-on maintenance experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
• Team player who communicates effectively and works well with others.
• Detail-oriented and pride in delivering high-quality work.
• Proactive and able to handle after-hours or weekend emergencies when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all property systems and equipment are in excellent working condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.
• Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.
• Ensure the property meets safety standards and complies with applicable regulations.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with apartment turnovers, ensuring units are move-in ready for new residents.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls when necessary.
• Perform snow and ice removal.

What You’ll Do
