Job summary

Flaherty & Collins Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Lodge of Overland Park. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, and respond to resident requests to ensure a safe, well-maintained living environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and hands-on maintenance experience, with HVAC/EPA certification preferred. You will join a collaborative team, participate in on-call rotations, and support after-hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC/EPA certifications preferred.
• Hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
• Team player with good communication.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to keep property systems and equipment in excellent condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.
• Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them proactively.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize work orders.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance on site.
• Maintain organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with apartment turnovers to ensure units are move-in ready.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls; participate in on-call rotation; weekend work as needed.
• Physical tasks required; other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician

What You'll Do:

Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all property systems and equipment are in excellent working condition.

Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.

Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.

Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.

Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.

Ensure the property meets safety standards and complies with applicable regulations.

Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.

Assist with apartment turnovers, ensuring units are move-in ready for new residents.

Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls when necessary.

Performsnow and ice removal.

Participatein an on-call rotation to respond to after-hoursmaintenance emergencies. Weekend work isrequiredas needed.

Physical tasks are required, along with other duties as assigned.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

HVAC/EPA certifications or similar credentials are a plus, alongwith a willingness to learn and grow.
