Job summary

Brookpark Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support safe, reliable operation of our manufacturing facility in Brookpark, OH. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, performing preventive maintenance, and executing timely repairs across all equipment.

The technician will train on electrical controls, motors, sensors, switches, and PLC-driven systems, while following LOTO protocols and GMP guidelines. Flexible hours, overtime, and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work instructions.
• Understand industrial safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekend schedules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing, packaging, and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production-related service requests.
• Inspect machinery for wear, damage, leaks, and operational defects.
• Assist with electrical controls, motors, sensors, switches, and PLC-driven equipment.
• Complete assigned preventive maintenance schedules and document work in tracking systems.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and uphold all facility safety regulations.

Maintenance Technician Role

The Maintenance Technician supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the manufacturing facility, production equipment, and supporting systems. This role exists to minimize downtime, execute preventive maintenance, and perform timely repairs across all operational equipment.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing, packaging, and facility equipment
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production-related service requests
• Inspect machinery routinely for wear, damage, leaks, and operational defects
• Assist with electrical controls, motors, sensors, switches, and PLC-controlled equipment
• Perform equipment adjustments, part replacements, lubrication, and setup calibrations
• Complete assigned preventive maintenance schedules and document work in tracking systems
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and strictly uphold all facility safety regulations
• Communicate equipment status, shift handoffs, and urgent maintenance concerns promptly

Maintenance Technician Reporting Relationships

The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Lead Maintenance Technician and has no direct reports.

About You

• Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and strong hands-on troubleshooting capabilities
• Maintain basic working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Demonstrate ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work instructions
• Show understanding of industrial safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills across multiple departments
• Display willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekend schedules when needed
