Job summary

Newbury Living is hiring a Maintenance Technician to service River Terrace and Hotel Iowa apartments in Keokuk, IA. This role focuses on keeping units move-in ready, performing repairs, and delivering excellent resident service.

You will manage HVAC, plumbing, and electrical tasks, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with vendors. A valid Iowa driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and background/drug checks are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of apartment maintenance experience.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform apartment turnovers and ensure units are move-in ready.
• Handle maintenance repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to keep systems running smoothly.
• Complete property inspections and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Provide exceptional resident service and communication.
• Participate in after-hours emergency response and coordination.

Who You Are:

• Experienced in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• A team player with great problem-solving abilities
• Communicates clearly and professionally - both written and verbal
• Brings a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Has 3+ years of apartment maintenance experience (preferred)
• Holds a valid Iowa driver's license and vehicle insurance
