Hoosier Village in Indianapolis, IN, part of BHI Senior Living, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help keep the community's buildings and grounds in excellent condition while supporting residents’ daily lives.

You'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance, assist contractors, and ensure safety and quality in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance installation. Weekend rotation included. Shift details: Monday–Friday 9:00am–5:30pm with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years general maintenance experience with plumbing and/or electrical experience.
• HVAC certification required.
• Physically capable of labor that involves bending, twisting, lifting and carrying objects.

Responsabilités

• Maintains the community's buildings and grounds in good condition throughout the year.
• Completes work orders for corrective and preventative maintenance.
• Documents resolutions and closes work orders upon completion.
• Troubleshoots problems with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and other systems.
• Assists contractors under supervisor direction.
• Performs renovation and turnover maintenance to meet schedule and resident selections.
• Replaces HVAC filters, light bulbs, services water softeners and other repairs.
• Installs appliances and mounts/assembles equipment and furnishings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

In This Role You Will:

• Performs functions to maintain the community's buildings and grounds in good condition throughout the year.
• Completes work order requisitions as assigned by performing corrective and preventative maintenance duties
• Documents resolutions accurately and closes work orders promptly upon completion.
• Evaluates and troubleshoots problems with equipment and systems such as; plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and other systems in buildings throughout the community and in accordance with the technician's scope of expertise, education and/or training
• Assists contractors with their work, at the direction of the supervisor
• Performs renovation and turnover maintenance,; including cleaning, patching, scraping, painting, to ensure units are completed on schedule and in accordance with resident's selections
• Replaces HVAC filters, light bulbs, services water softeners and performs all other necessary repairs and/or maintenance to the building, equipment, and furnishings
• Installs appliances and other equipment, hangs pictures and assembles and/or disassembles equipment and furnishings
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Shift Details: Monday through Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm with a weekend rotation

Who You Are:

• Detail orientated individual with a 1-3 years general maintenance experience with plumbing and/or electrical experience
• HVAC Certification required
• Physically capable of labor that requires bending, twisting, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting and carrying objects
