Job summary

Hoosier Village in Indianapolis, IN, part of BHI Senior Living, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help keep the community's buildings and grounds in excellent condition while supporting residents’ daily lives.

You'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance, assist contractors, and ensure safety and quality in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance installation. Weekend rotation included. Shift details: Monday–Friday 9:00am–5:30pm with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years general maintenance experience with plumbing and/or electrical experience.
• HVAC certification required.
• Physically capable of labor that involves bending, twisting, lifting and carrying objects.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the community's buildings and grounds in good condition throughout the year.
• Completes work orders for corrective and preventative maintenance.
• Documents resolutions and closes work orders upon completion.
• Troubleshoots problems with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and other systems.
• Assists contractors under supervisor direction.
• Performs renovation and turnover maintenance to meet schedule and resident selections.
• Replaces HVAC filters, light bulbs, services water softeners and other repairs.
• Installs appliances and mounts/assembles equipment and furnishings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
