Job summary

Hoosier Village in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to help ensure residents have a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment. You will clean resident rooms, lounges, dining areas, and common spaces in accordance with established procedures while maintaining resident confidentiality.

• Detail oriented with strong attention to cleanliness.
• Physically capable and able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Cleans resident rooms and apartments, bathing areas, lounges, offices, hallways, dining areas, recreational areas, public bathrooms, and other rooms as assigned and in compliance with established procedures.
• Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
• Cleans and mops tile floors, vacuums, spot cleans carpeted areas and empties trash.
• Dusts and/or washes furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Maintains Resident Confidentiality.
• Cleans and sanitizes lavatories and toilet bowls inside and out.

In This Role You Will

• Transports linens and other equipment
• Follows all written infection control procedures established by the community and performs other related duties as assigned

Who You Are

• Detail oriented individual with previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required

Physically capable, dependable, and prepared to actively engage in hands‑on work, including bending, twisting, stretching, repetitive motion, pushing, pulling, and safely lifting or moving up to 25 pounds in support of daily operations

Eager to learn and grow, with the ability to quickly absorb on‑the‑job training and apply new skills effectively to meet and exceed performance expectations
