Job summary

Hoosier Village in Indianapolis, part of BHI Senior Living, seeks an attentive Housekeeper to maintain clean resident rooms and common areas, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for today’s seniors.

You will follow established cleaning procedures, assist with daily operations, and interact with residents with compassion. This full-time role offers benefits, paid time off, and on-site amenities, supporting your professional growth.

• Cleans resident rooms and apartments, bathing areas, lounges, offices, hallways, dining areas, recreational areas, public bathrooms, and other rooms as assigned and in compliance with established written procedures
• Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by supervisor
• Dusts and/or washes furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Transports linens and other equipment
• Follows all written infection control procedures established by the community and performs other related duties as assigned

In This Role You Will

• Cleans resident rooms and apartments, bathing areas, lounges, offices, hallways, diningareas, recreational areas, public bathrooms, and other rooms as assigned and in compliance with established written procedures

• C leans and mops tile floors, vacuums, spot cleans carpeted areas and empties trash
• Dusts and/or washes furniture, fixtures, and equipment

• Cleans andsanitizelavatories and toilet bowls inside and out
• Performs and follows written cleaning procedures and schedules for common areas, resident apartments, and health center rooms
• Keeps all equipment and storage areas clean and orderly
• Transports linens and other equipment
• Follows all written infection control procedures established by the community and performs other related duties as assigned

Who You Are

• Detail oriented individual with previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required

Physically capable, dependable, and prepared to actively engage in hands‑on work, including bending, twisting, stretching, repetitive motion, pushing, pulling, and safely lifting or moving up to 25 pounds in support of daily operations

Eager to learn and grow, with the ability to quickly absorb on‑the‑job training and apply new skills effectively to meet and exceed performance expectations
