Job summary

Flaherty & Collins Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Whiskey River community in Lawrenceburg, IN. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC/plumbing/electrical systems, and respond to resident requests to keep units and common areas in excellent condition.

You’ll work with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize work, conduct inspections, and assist with turnovers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a maintenance role.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to keep property systems in top condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.
• Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance needs early.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize work orders.
• Ensure safety standards and regulations are met across the property.
• Maintain organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with apartment turnovers to ensure move-in readiness.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls; participate in on-call rotations.
• Perform snow and ice removal.

Maintenance Technician

What You'll Do:

Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all property systems and equipment are in excellent working condition.

Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.

Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.

Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.

Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.

Ensure the property meets safety standards and complies with applicable regulations.

Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.

Assist with apartment turnovers, ensuring units are move-in ready for new residents.

Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls when necessary.

Performsnow and ice removal.

Participatein an on-call rotation to respond to after-hoursmaintenance emergencies. Weekend work isrequiredas needed.

Physical tasks are required, along with other duties as assigned.
