Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a 1st shift role in Illinois. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain advanced plant machinery to keep production running safely, reliably, and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

Keep our advanced plant operating at peak efficiency through hands‑on troubleshooting and continuous equipment improvement:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial mechanical and electrical machinery.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Diagnose motors, VFDs, controls, and industrial power systems (120–480 VAC).
  • Maintain pumps, hydraulic systems, compressed air units, and steam equipment.
  • Collaborate with operations to drive plant reliability and safety initiatives.
What We’re Looking For Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Electrical Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480 VAC, motors, and controls.
  • Mechanical Expertise: Skilled with pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drives.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Bonus Skills: Technical certifications/trade school, VFD troubleshooting, welding, pipefitting, steam boilers, or pump repair.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be a vital part of keeping our high‑tech manufacturing plant operating at peak efficiency. You’ll tackle engaging mechanical and electrical challenges while driving equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated industrial mechanical and electrical machinery.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
  • Diagnose motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), controls, and industrial power systems (120–480 VAC).
  • Maintain heavy-duty pumps, hydraulic units, compressed air systems, and steam systems.
  • Lead facility improvements, equipment upgrades, and installation projects.
  • Work collaboratively with operations to build a safer, more efficient work environment.
