Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Electrical & Power Systems: troubleshoot, install, and repair 480V/120V 3-phase networks, motors, starters, and transformers.
• Automation & Controls: diagnose PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens); trace ladder logic and faulty I/O.
• Drive Systems: install and troubleshoot VFDs and servo systems.
• Conveyor & Mechanical Systems: maintain high-speed conveyors, gearboxes, and drives.
• Pneumatic Systems: diagnose and repair pneumatics, cylinders, regulators, compressors, and vacuums.
• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: perform PMs, thermal imaging, vibration checks and uptime improvements.
• Root Cause Analysis: perform rapid emergency repairs and document root causes.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation & Electrical Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize our automated manufacturing operations.

This is not a general facility or building maintenance role. We are looking for a true controls and industrial mechanical technician capable of diagnosing complex automated machinery, 480V 3-phase electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, and pneumatic controls down to the root cause. If you thrive on high-speed automated lines, ladder logic, and industrial power systems, this role is built for you.

salary: $62,400 - $79,040 per year

Responsibilities

• Electrical & Power Systems: Troubleshoot, install, and repair 480V/120V 3-phase power distribution networks, electric motors, motor starters, control circuits, transformers, and industrial disconnects.
• Automation & Controls: Connect to, diagnose, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) (e.g., Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens). Trace ladder logic, modify parameters, and identify faulty inputs/outputs, sensors, and encoders.
• Drive Systems: Install, program, calibrate, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and servo systems.
• Conveyor & Mechanical Systems: Maintain and repair high-speed material handling equipment, belt/roller/chain conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, drives, power transmissions, and drive chains.
• Pneumatic Systems: Diagnose and repair pneumatic circuits, air cylinders, solenoids, pressure regulators, air compressors, and vacuum systems.
• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Complete scheduled PMs on automated machinery, conduct thermal imaging/vibration checks where applicable, and drive continuous improvement on equipment uptime.
• Root Cause Analysis: Perform rapid emergency repairs during production downtime and document root-cause failures to prevent recurrence.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
