Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift at our New Century, Kansas site. The role offers $30.00–$35.00/hr plus a $1.50/hr shift differential ($31.50–$36.50 total/hr) and a stable Mon–Fri schedule with weekends off in a modern, safety‑driven facility.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in industrial maintenance or an Associate degree in a technical field, plus strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills.

Qualifications

• 4 years industrial maintenance experience or an Associate degree in a technical field.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Automation experience with PLCs and industrial controls.
• Proficiency with CMMS/PCs; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment on production lines and support systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain CMMS logs to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC/instrumentation issues.
• Support shutdowns, startups, and contractor oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot & Repair: Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on production lines and support equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot & Repair: Perform hands-on mechanical and electrical repairs across production lines, automated equipment, and facility support systems.
• Preventative Maintenance: Maintain a CMMS-tracked log to spot trends, perform routine PMs, and minimize unscheduled downtime.
• System Diagnostics: Utilize your expertise to diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC/instrumentation issues.
• Shutdown & Startup Support: Participate in planned shutdown activities, maintenance scheduling, and machine startups.
• Vendor & Contractor Oversight: Collaborate with OEM vendors for parts pricing and supervise third‑party contractors when needed.
• Safety & Workplace Care: Maintain high OSHA safety standards and keep a clean, organized work area.

The essential functions of this role include:
