Job summary

Randstad USA in Edwardsville, KS is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:45 PM). You’ll perform preventive maintenance and rapid repairs on conveyors, forklifts, dock doors, and automated equipment, with a strong focus on safety and uptime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in industrial maintenance (distribution, warehousing or manufacturing).
• Strong electrical/hydraulic troubleshooting skills and ability to read technical manuals.
• HS Diploma/GED (tech degree preferred), 18+ years old, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform proactive preventive maintenance and rapid repairs on conveyors, forklifts, dock doors, and automated facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, including motors, sensors, relays, and control panels.
• Diagnose and service hydraulic systems (pumps, valves, cylinders) using diagnostic tools and schematics.
• Record preventive maintenance tasks and work orders within the facility’s CMMS system.
• Work closely with operations and safety leadership to eliminate downtime and keep equipment running smoothly.
• Oversee third-party contractors on-site to ensure work meets facility safety and quality standards.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance and rapid repairs on conveyors, forklifts, dock doors, and automated gear.


• Troubleshoot electrical components (motors, sensors, relays, control panels) and hydraulic systems (pumps, valves, cylinders).


• Read schematics, use diagnostic gear, and log tasks cleanly in the CMMS system.


• Work with operations/safety teams to eliminate downtime and oversee on‑site contractors.
