Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a 2nd Shift Electrical Multi-Craft Technician in Spartanburg, SC to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, rapid emergency repairs, and provide technical support across all plant equipment.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, including electrical work, and is proficient with PLCs, AC/DC drives, motors, HMIs, and related control systems.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years in industrial maintenance; 2 years in industrial maintenance, 1 year in electrical maintenance, 1 year in manufacturing environments.
  • Electrical Skills: Proficient with industrial systems up to 480V, circuit troubleshooting, and control systems (PLCs, AC/DC drives, motors, HMIs, relays, I/O).
  • Mechanical & Fluid Power: Troubleshooting conveyors, belts, gears, pulleys, bearings, chains; pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
  • Physical: Stand/walk 8+ hours; lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and repair or replace components to minimize downtime.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
  • Use specialized tools like multimeters, welding equipment, and measuring devices.

About the Role

Are you an experienced technician looking to advance your industrial career with a reliable, full-time opportunity? We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Electrical Multi-Craft Technician to perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on our production machinery and facility systems. You will play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency through preventive maintenance, rapid emergency repairs, and technical support across all plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Diagnose complex electrical and mechanical issues, repairing or replacing components promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled emergency repairs.
  • Utilize specialized maintenance tools, including multimeters, measuring devices, and welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Collaborate with and assist fellow maintenance team members on priority tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience overall (minimum 2 years in industrial maintenance, 1 year in electrical maintenance, and 1 year in manufacturing environments).
  • Electrical Skills: Proficient with industrial systems up to 480V, circuit troubleshooting, and control systems (PLCs, AC/DC drives, motors, HMIs, relays, I/O, E/P devices, coils).
  • Mechanical & Fluid Power:experience with troubleshooting onconveyors, belts, gears, pulleys, bearings, chain drives, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours and lift, bend, push, pull, climb, and turn with items weighing 50+ lbs.

salary: $62,400 - $76,960 per year

shift: Second

work hours: 11 AM - 7 PM

General Tasks
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all production machines and facility equipment
  • Diagnose electrical/mechanical problems on machinery replace or repair parts
  • Make emergency/ unscheduled repairs on production equipment in a timely manner to maximize production
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance
  • Use machine tools when required, (i.e., multimeter, measuring devices, welding equipment, etc.)
  • Assist other maintenance team members
The essential functions of this role include:
  • working in a smoke free environment
  • wearing steel toe shoes
  • working in a non-temperature controlled environment
  • manual lifting up to 50lbs
  • standing for 8 hours at one time
  • working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
