Job summary

Flaherty & Collins Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Enclave community in Elizabethtown, KY. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance on property systems, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues, and address resident maintenance requests to keep units in top condition.

You will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager, participate in on-call rotations, and assist with turnovers while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC/EPA certifications or similar credentials are a plus.
• Hands-on maintenance experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to keep property systems in top condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.
• Address resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct inspections and collaborate with supervisors to prioritize work orders.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance, maintain inventory, and assist with turnovers.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in on-call rotations.

Maintenance Technician

What You'll Do:

Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all property systems and equipment are in excellent working condition.

Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.

Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.

Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.

Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.

Ensure the property meets safety standards and complies with applicable regulations.

Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.

Assist with apartment turnovers, ensuring units are move-in ready for new residents.

Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls when necessary.

Performsnow and ice removal.

Participatein an on-call rotation to respond to after-hoursmaintenance emergencies. Weekend work isrequiredas needed.

Physical tasks are required, along with other duties as assigned.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

HVAC/EPA certifications or similar credentials are a plus, alongwith a willingness to learn and grow.

You have hands-on experience in maintenance, with skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
