Job summary

LR Management is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our Michigan team. You will perform general repairs and preventative maintenance on apartments, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Flexible schedule including weekends and on-call shifts is required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Flexibility to work weekends and be on-call.

Responsibilities

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in.
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments.
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks.
• Move in/move out inspections.
• Maintain inventory of parts and keep shop organized.
• Assist in maintenance of indoor common areas and exterior grounds.

The successful candidate will be a team player, have a positive attitude along with being self-motivated and self-directed.

Our maintenance staff are key members of our property team who interact with our residents as they carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance which includes HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner
• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks
• Conducting move in/move out inspections
• Ensuring an adequate inventory level for required parts
• Ensuring service shop is clean and organized
• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property's indoor common areas
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including, but not limited, to trash pickup and snow removal
• Adhering to established policies related to fair housing

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
