Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a maintenance technician for our manufacturing plant in Alabama. You will perform emergency and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable uptime and reliability.

The role requires hands-on skills, basic machining and welding, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with overtime as needed. You will own tools and follow safety regulations to maintain a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or HSE and related manufacturing experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal strengths.
Able to manage ambiguity in stressful situations while maintaining a positive attitude.
Willingness to work with others and independently as needed.
Basic machining skills.
Basic welding skills.
Able to work independently as well as in a group; owns hand tools.
Strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks on machines, equipment, and systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support major repairs, upgrades, and improvement projects.
Safely accomplish assigned tasks.
Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop equipment specifications and proactive maintenance strategies.
Comply with safety regulations.
Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Other duties as assigned.
