Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure compliance with maintenance principles while working independently with limited supervision at our Butler, Indiana facility.

Responsibilities include emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive repairs, upgrades, and safety initiatives, with a focus on safe, efficient operation and willingness to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent manufacturing experience is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and work well under pressure.
• Positive attitude and ability to work with others.
• Basic machining skills and basic welding skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team; must own hand tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support major repairs, upgrades, and improvements.
• Safely accomplish assigned tasks.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Develop equipment specifications and proactive maintenance strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
