Job summary

HMSHost in Baltimore is seeking a Maintenance Person III to perform complex maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment and structures at the airport facility. Reports generally to a Maintenance Manager.

The role requires adherence to safety guidelines and coordination of repairs within budget. The position involves inspecting and servicing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other systems, plus managing preventative maintenance records and equipment readiness in a high-standards

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; up to 3 years equivalent experience post-high school specialized trade or technical school preferred
• Requires and/or willing to obtain OSHA-10 certification for Construction and General Industries
• Requires precise hand/eye coordination
• May require specific drivers license based on state requirements, a clean driving record and the ability to pass HMSHost MVR Background check
• Liquor license or food handlers permit may be required depending on location
• Requires operation of heavy equipment or vehicles
• Must perform lifting/pushing of objects weighing over 50 lbs
• May require climbing or working in awkward or cramped positions

Responsibilities

• Inspects, diagnoses and performs repairs within guidelines of expertise and in conjunction with health and safety guidelines
• Maintains small appliances, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry
• Ensures the physical structure and equipment are in safe operating condition as per regulations
• Coordinates repairs within approved budgetary guidelines
• Maintains preventative maintenance schedule and records for all systems and equipment
• Performs landscaping and snow removal where applicable
• Adheres to all OSHA regulations
• Performs heavy lifting or moving of heavy equipment as required
