Job summary

Takeda in Round Lake, Illinois seeks a Maintenance Technician II to provide hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting for the Galaxy filling process and related equipment across the Mix, Fill, and Finishing complexes.

You will work with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to keep production safe and efficient, perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and root-cause analysis, and support continuous improvement in a regulated pharma environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 2+ years related experience OR associate degree or higher with 1+ year related experience.
3+ years of manufacturing systems experience preferred.
Experience in an FDA-regulated environment preferred; mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic knowledge required.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot equipment supporting Galaxy filling process and Mix, Fill, Finishing complexes.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime.
Monitor lines during production and identify issues affecting performance or quality.
Review PM requirements and complete preventive maintenance on time.
Build, rebuild, repair machine assemblies and improve reliability.
Document breakdowns, repairs, and recurring issues in the CMMS (JDE) or other tracking methods.
Review equipment trends to identify recurring problems and support actions.
Troubleshoot robots in production and investigate output/quality issues.
Communicate status and potential impacts per site Stop and Fix guidelines.
Coordinate maintenance work for Galaxy process and ensure documentation is complete.
