Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Packaging Specialist in Round Lake Beach, IL to maintain and troubleshoot packaging equipment across manufacturing and utilities systems. You will follow SOPs, cGMPs, and quality standards in a pharma environment while performing audits, log updates, and safe equipment operations.

The role demands hands-on maintenance, setup/changeovers, and ability to read schematics, with a strong mechanical background and comfort with electrical work up to 480VAC. Weekend shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Trade School Certificate preferred.
• Strong mechanical background and electrical knowledge up to 480VAC.
• Ability to read schematics and job blueprints.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain facility structures and equipment as directed by supervisor and/or work orders.
• Support the manufacturing floor by aiding in setting up for batches.
• Operate, set-up and perform change overs for packaging equipment.
• Complete relevant paperwork and electronic system prompts/tasks, following GDP/GMP guidelines.
• Manually clean all portable equipment and small parts, assemble and operate packaging equipment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in electronic systems such as EBM, JDE.
• Apply auditing principles in routine situations with minimal supervision.
• Follow safety rules and comply with EPA regulations.
