Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. in Round Lake, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support Galaxy filling equipment across Mix, Fill, and Finishing complexes. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and document repairs to minimize downtime and ensure quality production.

The role requires independent work, strong troubleshooting, and collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams in a GMP environment. 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED plus 2+ years related experience.
• Assoc degree or higher plus 1+ year related work experience.
• 3+ years manufacturing systems experience preferred.
• Experience in FDA-regulated manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and independent decision-making.
• Familiarity with PLCs a plus; PLC knowledge encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Galaxy filling equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
• Monitor lines, communicate issues, and identify potential production impacts.
• Review PM requirements, verify parts, and complete PM activities on time.
• Coordinate maintenance work and ensure complete, accurate documentation.
• Train less experienced technicians and share 6S practices.
