Takeda in Round Lake, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to maintain Galaxy filling process equipment across Mix, Fill, and Finishing complexes, collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, perform preventive maintenance, document issues in JDE CMMS, and support continuous improvement while prioritizing safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of related experience, or an associate degree or higher with 1+ year experience.
• 3+ years of manufacturing systems experience preferred.
• Technical certifications in maintenance, instrumentation, electrical systems, or related discipline are a plus.
• Experience in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficient in reading electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with PLCs or willingness to learn.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment supporting the Galaxy filling process and the Mix, Fill, and Finishing complexes.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime.
• Monitor lines during production and proactively identify issues affecting performance, quality, or schedules.
• Review PM requirements, verify parts availability, and complete PM activities on time.
• Build, rebuild, and repair machine assemblies to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Initiate work orders and document breakdowns, repairs using JDE CMMS.
• Review equipment trends to identify recurring problems and support corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot robots in production and investigate output/quality issues.
• Communicate issues and status to supervisors and management per Stop and Fix guidelines.
• Coordinate Galaxy process maintenance and ensure documentation is complete.
• Share knowledge and train less experienced technicians on equipment, PM, safety, and 6S.
• Follow GMP and safety standards; complete required training on time.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and lead technicians to resolve issues and support CI.
