Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech 2 in the United States to execute preventive maintenance and troubleshoot building and material handling systems.

You will design maintenance solutions, lead training for technicians, and develop plans to achieve department goals while maintaining cross-department relationships. The role requires 3+ years of experience with conveyors and electrical systems, strong tool knowledge, and the ability to lead maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems and building maintenance
• Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment
• Advanced knowledge of power tools, pneumatic or hydraulic tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic knowledge of controls systems & PLCs (preferred)
• Robotics knowledge (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair material handling systems and conveyors; resolve motor/reducer, belt tracker and belt lacing issues
• Diagnose electrical and electronic control systems using test equipment
• Lead preventative maintenance procedures and create/close work orders with labor, parts and hours
• Assist in training plans for service technicians and support safety procedures
• Maintain positive relationships across departments within the Nordstrom facility
• Operate forklifts, scissor and boom lifts safely during tasks
• Move up to 49 lbs and endure 12-hour shifts as required
