Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is hiring a Facilities Tech 2 for the Dubuque Distribution Center. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of material handling systems, conveyors, and building systems.

You will design maintenance solutions, develop plans to meet department goals, and lead safety and maintenance initiatives. The candidate will work Monday-Friday, with exposure to a range of equipment, PLCs, servo drives, and robotics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with power tools, pneumatic or hydraulic tools.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair material handling systems and conveyors.
• Diagnose electrical/electronic control systems using test equipment.
• Safely operate forklifts, scissor and boom lifts as needed.
• Lead preventative maintenance procedures and assist in training plans for service technicians.
