Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech 2 in Riverside, CA to execute a preventative maintenance program and diagnose building and material handling systems.

You will design maintenance solutions, lead training, and create detailed work orders to support department goals. The role requires at least 3+ years in conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance, with strong hands-on skills in power tools and controls.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, & building maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of power tools, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of controls systems & PLCs. (preferred)
• Robotics knowledge (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all aspects of material handling systems & conveyors.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic control systems using test equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components.
• Safely operate forklifts, lifts, tools, and energy management equipment as needed.
• Lead preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist in leading training plans for service technicians.
• Create and close out work orders with labor hours, maintenance, and parts used.
• Maintain positive relationships across departments within the Nordstrom facility.
