Job summary

Nordstrom Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech 2 to support our facility operations. This role focuses on executing a preventative maintenance program and diagnosing repairs for building and material handling systems, including conveyors and electrical controls.

You will lead maintenance procedures, help design solutions for complex issues, and collaborate with the Operations team to meet department goals. Schedule is Sunday-Wednesday with 12-hour shifts; lifting up to 49 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of power tools, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools.
• Basic knowledge of controls systems & PLCs (preferred).
• Robotics knowledge (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Promote safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair material handling systems and conveyors.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic control systems using test equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components.
• Safely operate forklifts, aerial lifts, hand tools and energy management equipment.
• Lead preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist in leading training plans for service technicians.
• Create and close out work orders with labor hours and parts used.
• Maintain positive relationships across departments.
