Job summary

Nordstrom Inc seeks a Maintenance Tech 1 to execute a preventative maintenance program and assist with troubleshooting of material handling equipment. You’ll help design maintenance solutions and support department goals across the facility.

Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing conveyors, basic relay logic, and control components; operating lifts safely; and creating work orders documenting labor and parts used. 1+ years in related field preferred.

Qualifications

1+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
Knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
Knowledge of power tools, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of controls systems & PLCs.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain and repair material handling systems and conveyors.
Support troubleshooting and diagnostics for building equipment and conveyor systems.
Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used.
Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, scissor and boom lifts, and hand tools.
Collaborate across departments to support maintenance projects and goals.
