Job summary

Medline is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment, and oversee repairs on conveyors, automation, robotics and related systems at our Laredo facility.

The role requires 5 years of hands-on experience with forklifts, conveyors, and general equipment repair, with a background in PLC logic and basic Excel skills. Travel up to 10% may be required, with a strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 5 years of experience with forklift, conveyor and general equipment repair and maintenance.
• Associates degree in Mechatronics or technical field preferred; apprenticeship or trade certification is a plus.
• Fundamental understanding of machinery/equipment and PLC logic systems; basic Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on conveyors, automation, robotics and ancillary equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment, document issues in CMMS, and escalate as needed.
• Mentor junior maintenance personnel and assist with two-person tasks when required.
• Oversee small projects including space renovations and contractor oversight.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and operate material handling equipment as needed.
